Your tasks:

  • Prepare, perform, and analyze experiments at Felsenkeller underground ion accelerator on solar fusion reactions
  • Collaboration with PhD, MSc, and BSc students

Your profile:

  • Completed PhD in the field of Experimental Nuclear Astrophysics
  • Experience with the operation and application of radiation detectors
  • Proven experience with nuclear physics experiments
  • Experience working with radionuclide standards
  • Proficiency in ROOT for data analysis
  • Experience with GEANT4 for simulation of detectors and experiments
  • Ability to work effectively in international and interdisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to travel for extended research stays, experiments and conferences
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
