The goal of CeNAM is to provide a framework for connection, exchange of data and ideas, and collaboration for scientists in areas relevant to address open scientific questions at the intersection of nuclear science and astronomy. There are many other subfields that are relevant and important to be part of this effort, including geo-chemistry and particle physics.
CeNAM is an open collaboration, and any scientist at any career stage (including students and other early career researchers) working in a relevant field and interested in contributing towards the scientific goals is welcome to join. Currently, the CeNAM collaboration includes 155 senior scientists, 56 students and postdocs from 83 institutions in 16 countries.
CeNAM currently organizes unique synergistic and interdisciplinary conferences and workshops, and plans to create additional pathways for coordination across disciplines through coordination groups and visitor programs. CeNAM also supports a program to facilitate exchange of nuclear and observational data across fields. Members will have the opportunity organize their own activities and participate in any coordination group and visitor activities. In general, conferences and workshops are open to all scientists regardless of CeNAM membership.
