Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow

The Nuclear Structure Group at the Australian National University is seeking applications for a postdoctoral position (Level A / Postdoctoral Fellow or Level B / Research Fellow) to support our research program at the Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility in Canberra. This is a fixed-term appointment until June 2028; candidates with existing experience at postdoctoral level may be considered for appointment at the higher level.  

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in performing accelerator-based experiments with diverse radiation detectors and digital data acquisition systems. Experience in delivering nuclear-structure projects with direct reactions and/or Coulomb-excitation techniques is strongly desirable.
